Rodeo may be Wyoming’s official sport, but skijoring is the state’s unofficial winter sport. The high-flying art of skijoring honors the Western traditions of horses and winter racing by pairing a horseback rider with some interesting baggage: someone on skis being towed over various obstacles. Contests are held near Jackson annually. You can read more about skijoring in our blog.
Another entertainment venue is the Snow King Sports&Events Center where one can catch the Jackson Hole Moose semi-pro hockey games from November through mid-March.
