Dining in Jackson Hole: The Essentials

Visitors usually ask, "What are the best places for dining in Jackson Hole?" Foodies or the just plain hungry can find an unexpected diversity of gastronomic options at the ski areas, in and on the outskirts of town, and in Grand Teton National Park.

Below is but a guide to the various eateries here in the Tetons.

ON AND AROUND TOWN SQUARE

The iconic Jackson Hole Town Square is filled with variety. From burgers to burritos, locally sourced menu items to lamb chops, this area of town has just the place to satisfy your taste buds.

Considerations for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner include: Roadhouse Pub and Eatery, the historic Jackson Drug Original Soda Fountain, The Bunnery, Pearl Street Market (pictured above), Roosevelts, The Kitchen, Code Red, Glorietta’s, Cafe Genevieve, Snake River Roasting, Orsetto, Persephone, Silver Dollar Bar and Grill, Pinky G’s, Snake River Brewing, Bin22, and the Blue Lion.

Mangy Moose Restaurant & Saloon

AT OR NEAR THE BASE OF SKI AREAS

The new kids on the block at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Teton Village are Trappers at Solitude Station, accessible via the Sweetwater Gondola, Tram Dock, which is nestled at the base of the aerial tram, Bear Flats (conveniently located at the base of Sublette), Yardsale in the Snake River Lodge and Spa, and Wild Pine at Gravity Haus.

“Oldies, but goodies” include the iconic Mangy Moose (pictured above), the Alpenhof, Il Villaggio Osteria, the Handle Bar and West Bank Grill at the Four Seasons, Southcable at Caldera House, Teton Thai, Piste at the summit of the Bridger Gondola, and Corbet's Cabin (amazing gourmet waffles!) at the top of the Aerial Tram.

At Snow King Mountain, you can grab a bite or two to eat at the King's Grill at the bottom of the Rafferty lift — serving up local beer, burgers, salads and sandwiches, and delicious milkshakes — and/or try the Panorama House at the summit (reachable via the gondola). Haydens Post is located in the Snow King Resort Hotel at the base of the mountain and StillWest Brewery and Grill sits across the street from the ski area and includes bang-on views of where you’ve just skied.

WHERE TO GO WITH KIDS IN TOW

When you're traveling with the whole family, you'll probably want to eat in a restaurant that might have a special kids' menu and a family-friendly atmosphere. Luckily, there are many restaurants where everyone can enjoy a meal out. Some of those places are Calico, Jackson Drug, Miazga’s, Roosevelts, The BunnerySnake River Brewing, Pinky G’s (pictured), and Bubba’s Bar-B-Que.

THE WESTBANK AND WILSON
