While there are dozens of restaurants in Jackson Hole offering adventurous meals for the adult palate, the ambiance may not always be as much fun for the kids. Luckily, there is a plethora of restaurants where the whole family can enjoy a meal out. Here's our list of family-friendly Jackson Hole restaurants.
Calico Bar & Restaurant
Calico’s one-and-a-half acre yard for kids to frolic on (see photo above) makes this American-Italian restaurant one of Jackson Hole’s favorite family-friendly places for both visitors and locals alike. Parents can nibble on some tasty appetizers and sip a glass of wine on Calico’s deck while their offspring play ball, a game of “tag” and generally just run around before and after they eat dinner, all within eyesight. The meals on the kid’s menu make Calico a win-win for the entire family. Location: 2620 Moose-Wilson Rd. in Wilson; 307-733-2460
Snake River Brewery
At first blush, you might not picture a brewery as a kid-friendly venue, but you should never judge a book by its cover. The Snake River Brewery offers more than just Jackson Hole-brewed suds. The large, high-ceilinged, high-energy restaurant is a great fit for families for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Location: 265 So. Millward; 307-739-2337
The King's Grill
The King’s Grill is Snow King Mountain’s base/slopeside eatery with a motto that says it all for those seeking a kid-friendly atmosphere: “Food, Family & Fun.” Open during both the summer and winter seasons and given its location in the Rafferty Center at the base of the Rafferty Chairlift, overlooking both the Cowboy Coaster and the Alpine Slide, it is most decidedly a fun spot to grab a bite to eat. The menu features traditional American favorites with the influence of unique regional flavors from throughout the country. The "King's Kids" menu offers kid-friendly food. The grill also serves wine and beer, as well as ice cream treats. 307-201-5292

The whole family will enjoy the New York-style hand-tossed pizza in a very casual dining environment. Location: 50 W Broadway in the Pink Garter Plaza on Town Square; 307-733-7465
Mangy Moose
The iconic Mangy Moose in Jackson Hole needs to be on your list of restaurants at which to eat. The main restaurant is an authentic Western steakhouse ideal for families, offering reasonably priced meals. A casual atmosphere marked by a decidedly eclectic décor hanging from the ceiling and walls (think vintage road signs and posters, antique bicycles and tools, a small bi-plane), the eatery features a diverse dinner-only menu. For family breakfast and lunch, the Mangy Moose Café is located one floor below the main dining room with a menu that is half American and half Mexican. Main dining hours: 5 to 9:30 p.m.; Mangy Moose Café hours: 7 to 11 a.m. for breakfast; lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.; 307-733-4913
Jackson Drug & Original Soda Fountain
Jackson Drug and Original Soda Fountain is a beloved Jackson Hole institution dating back to 1919 that's gotten a second chance at life to serve up some homemade ice cream, malts, burgers and sandwiches. It closed its doors in 2001 but then in 2018, the founder’s family reopened the soda fountain giving the historic and iconic building another chance to be what it was always meant to be. The menu includes burgers, grilled cheese and other sandwiches, chicken tenders, steak strips, homemade meatloaf and Idaho trout and a special kid’s menu. And what's a soda fountain (it’s 100 years old!) without yummy ice cream goodness? Jackson Drug's nearly addictive ice cream is made with love on-site using Reed’s Dairy cream from Idaho Falls, Idaho. Location: Town Square at 151 Deloney; 307-201-1275
