Grand Teton National Park Camping
The campgrounds in the park now operate on a six-month advanced reservation basis (visit recreation.gov to make reservations). All will offer you incredible views and fresh, mountain air. The campgrounds provide modern comfort stations but read individual campground descriptions for cost, restrictions, electric and full hookup availability. Costs are subject to change. Some campgrounds also have a utility surcharge. Fees vary for electric hookups and full hookups. Jenny Lake and Colter Bay have walk-in sites available. Signal Mountain Campground has one site with full hook-ups and 24 sites with electric hookups. Colter Bay RV Park and Headwaters Campgrounds & RV sites do have full hookups.
The maximum length of stay is 7 days per person at Jenny Lake and 14 days at all other campgrounds—no more than 30 days in the park per year (14 days at Jenny Lake). Reservations are accepted for group camping at the Colter Bay RV Park and the Headwaters Campground & RV Sites at Flagg Ranch, as well as the Gros Ventre Campground.
For campground status, contact the entrance stations or visitor centers. Additional camping facilities are available in nearby national forests and other adjacent areas. Camping is not permitted in the park along roadsides, at overlooks or in parking areas. Doubling up in campsites is not permitted and there are no overflow facilities.
Along the Grassy Lake Road, there are 20 campsites with vault toilets, and bear-resistant food storage lockers, but no potable water. These sites are free of charge and available first-come, first served beginning June 1st.
Public Showers and Laundromat
Public showers and laundromat facilities are located at Colter Bay Village and Signal Mountain Lodge.
RV and Trailer Villages
Colter Bay RV Park and Headwaters Campground and RV sites at Flagg Ranch have full hook-ups, showers and laundry. Colter Bay has 112 sites. Headwaters has 100 trailer and 75 tent sites. Advance reservations are required.

Group Camping
Reservations are available for group camping at Colter Bay and Gros Ventre campgrounds. The sites range in capacity from 10 to 100 people. Advance reservations are required and may be made through the Grand Teton Lodge Company at 307-543-3100.

Colter Bay Campground
Open: Mid-May to late-September

Details: 25 miles north of Moose, with 335 sites, 11 group sites, 13 electric hookup sites, trailer dump station, showers and laundry nearby. Fills in the afternoon, if at all. Colter Bay is a wooded campground with larger sites and easier access if you are traveling with a camper, trailer, or RV. Close to Jackson Lake with many nearby activities.
Gros Ventre Campground

Details: 11.5 miles south and east of Moose, with more than 300 sites, 5 groups sites, 36 electric hookup sites, and a trailer dump station. The campground lies along the Gros Ventre River with a mix of sites in sagebrush, beneath cottonwoods and adjacent to/or a short distance from, the river.
Headwaters Campground and RV sites at Flagg Ranch

Details: Located in the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway, just south of Yellowstone National Park's south boundary and 5 miles north of Grand Teton National Park. 175 spacious sites in a spruce-fir forest, full hook-up RV sites (20 and 50 amp electric), and camper cabins. Services include a dump station, showers and laundry. Call for reservations.
Jenny Lake Campground
Open: Early-May to late-September

Details: 8 miles north of Moose, 49 sites, tents only. This is the park's most popular campground. Sites are in among the evergreens and glacial boulders a short distance from Jenny Lake. Only one vehicle, less than 14 feet long and 8 feet tall, is permitted per site. Trailers and pop-up tops are prohibited.
Lizard Creek Campground

Details: At the north end of Grand Teton National Park, about 32 miles north of Moose and has 60 sites. A less heavily developed campground with sites in the spruce and fir forest. One side of the campground is adjacent to and slightly above Jackson Lake. Vehicle size limited to 30 feet.
Signal Mountain Campground
Open: Mid-May to mid-October

Details: Nine miles north of Jenny Lake, 81 sites, 24 electric hookup sites and a trailer dump station. Signal Mountain offers a mix of spruce and fir trees, hillsides, and lake and mountain views. Adjacent to Signal Mountain Lodge and marina with a camp store and amenities close by. Sites are generally small and intimate. Vehicles size limited to 30 feet.
Do's and Don'ts
Know Before You Go: Camping responsibly in the park means putting your campfires dead out, keeping food or other bear attractants in hard-sided vehicles and digging "cat holes" for human waste if you're camping in the backcountry. Leave no trace is the biggest "do" when camping anywhere!
